The 100th day – Is heaven for real?

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. — Revelation 21:4

This will be the most joyful and glorious of days – The coming of the new heavens and new earth! The city of God will descent from heaven, God himself will dwell with us together, he will look into our eyes overflowing with compassion and liquid love. This is a city where there will be no more suffering, no more mourning, no more pain and no more death. All our tears will be wiped away and orphan hearts healed. In his glaze, all the painful memories will be replaced with joy and love… What a wonderful moment!

Is that true? Watch the promises of God for yourself:

Are you still wonder is heaven for real? Watch this amazing testimony of a man who went to heaven and returned:

And here are reports based on people’s Near-Death Experience.

Heaven is Real. So is God! God loves you!

The 99th day – The day of Judgment

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. — Revelation 20:12 (KJV)

Do you believe life after death? Do you believe the day of judgement? Do you believe God is fair? Do you believe one day you will be in heaven with Jesus?

There are four final facts await the world at the Last Day:
1) The return of Jesus Christ.
2) The resurrection of the dead.
3) The last judgement.
4) The creation of the new heavens and earth

In revelation 20, it reveals to us Satan is now completely defeated and thrown into the lake of fire to be destroyed. Now, In front of God, the last judgement starts. All are judged, no matter great or small. There are two books before God, one is the book of deeds, the other is the book of life.

The book of life contains the names of those who have put their trust in Christ to save them. The books of deeds includes the recorded deeds of everyone, good or evil. Everyone’s life will be reviewed and evaluated. NO ONE IS SAVED BY DEEDS, BUT THROUGH FAITH. However, deeds are seen as clear evidence of a person’s actual relationship with God.

Doesn’t this remind us how we should live our life and chose our destinies today?  Step our in faith, you the children of God!

Also if anyone is interested in the great book of revelation, here is a full movie about it from you tube. Very Good!

The 98th day — There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear!

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. — 1 John 4:18

Today is a very important day for three of my friends in church. Because it is the day of their baptism. I’m really pleased for them. As you known,  baptism is to celebrate about ‘their old selves have gone and the new lives in the Love of God have come’. What an exciting journey ahead of them! I would like them to know about today’s verse, God is love! God is pouring his love on them!

Fear, we all have. It can be the fear of our future, job losts, financial crisis, terrorists, terrible family situations, life difficulties, death and so on, it can also be the fear of objects, such as snakes, spiders, sharks, rats, you name it.

Love, we all long for! It can be the brotherly love, parental love, friend’s love as well as partner’s love.

However, the Perfect love comes from our heavenly father, which is the unconditional love, a love above all else. In his love, there is no fear! His love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres…

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.  This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. — 1 John 4:16-19

God loves you!

The 97th day – How great is the LOVE

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  — 1 John 3:1

The most important thing I have learned from writing this blog is that I got to know truly about WHAT I AM – The Child of God, who is fearfully and wonderfully made, dearly loved by my heavenly father. I have started to call God, Daddy or Papa. My relationship with the heavenly Father is getting closer and closer which enables me to feel the true happiness and fulfilment. Never being happier.

In today’s verse John has pointed out that the same truth: The Father has lavished his love upon us. What kind of love is this? God adopted us as his children through sacrificing his own son Jesus. But the world does not recognise  his sons and daughters by adoption because the world didn’t recognise his Son, Jesus. Nevertheless, how wonderful it is be to loved by God, the world’s greatest Father!

Paul Baloche – How great is the love

The 96th day – The love of this world – Power, sex and money

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. — 1 John 2:15

I am more and more excited as it is getting nearer and nearer to the end of this 100 verse bible. Today is the 96th day, it means there are only four days left before I finish this Mission of mine.

Today we are on 1 John. The author of this book is same as the Gospel of John. “First John was written to dispel doubts and to build assurance by presenting a clear picture of Christ. Entering history, Jesus was and is God in the flesh and God in focus – seen, heard, and touched by the author of this letter, John the apostle. John walked and talked with Jesus, saw him heal, heard him teach, watch him die, met him arisen, and saw him ascend. John knew God, he has lived with him and had seen him work. And John enjoyed fellowship with the Father ad the Son all the days of his life.”

Love not the world? Neither the things that are in the world? Why?

First of all, what does the world has to offer? I assume three most significant things people love about this world are POWER, SEX AND MONEY.  If these things occupied our hearts, there is no space for the love of God which leads to eternal life. Imaging your heart is like a pie chart, if power takes 25%, Sex 30%, Money 35%, How much do you have left? 10%? How about other things? Is there even 1% left in your heart that is for God?

The things in this world are only temporary and easily destroyed. Yet what is unseen is eternal – Heaven and Hell. Will you choose the love of the father that leads to HEAVEN or the love of the world that leads to HELL?

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. — 2 Corinthians 4:18

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. — Matthew 6:20

The 95th day – The Antichrist

Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for [that day will not come] until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. — 2 Thessalonians 2:3

2 Thessalonians is a follow up letter to 1 Thessalonians. In this letter, Paul indicates various events that must precede the second coming of Christ. Just as what today’s verse has described ‘That day will not come until  the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.” This period of extreme turmoil on the earth is known as the GREAT TRIBULATION.

Throughout history there have been individuals who epitomized evil and who were hostile to everything Christ stands for. These antichrists have lived in every generation and will continue to work their evil. Then Just before Christ’s second coming, “the man of lawlessness… the man doomed to destruction,” a completely evil man, will arise. He will be Satan’s tool, equipped with Satan’s power (2:9). This lawlessness man will be THE antichrist.

Here is a very interesting video describing “the Antichrist” using actual bible verses. The words of God in this video provides us a pretty good understanding on this subject, though the video images can be slightly better.

The 94th Day-There is hope after death

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. — 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (NIV)

Jesus has promised to come back sometime in the future, and as a matter of fact, he is coming back at this moment. The Bible tells us when he comes back, the whole world will be restored from the control of Satan. There will be no more sins, no more aguish, no more sadness, no more tears… Moreover, the dead in Christ shall be raised up as well.

When the scripture says, ‘the dead in Christ will rise first’, it means what it says. God has raised Jesus from the dead three days after the crucification. He was given a spiritual body which allows him to eat and drink, and walking through the walls at the same time. He lived with his disciples for 40 days and appeared to the public before he was taken up to heaven.

The resurrection of Jesus occupies a significant place in Christian belief. One of the reasons is that it gives us hope even after death. God has raised our Saviour and he also has promised to do the same to the people who believe his son. So the Bible refers to the people who have passed away as ‘the people fallen asleep’. The dead will come to live again just as simple as you and me wake up every morning after hours of sleep. One day you and I will be given a spiritual body and live with Jesus in his kingdom for eternity.

That’s the hope we have.

The 93rd day – Listening and Doing

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. — James 1:27 (KJV)

We are on the book of James today. The letter of James underlines that a person whose faith is ‘ALIVE’ will bear fruits (do good works) for God. In today’s verse, we learn about the kind of religion the Father accepts as pure and undefiled: Those who care for orphans and widows in their affliction.

Why does God have special compassion for these two groups of people? As we known, orphans and widows had very little means of economic support or emotional care. Unless a family member is willing to care for them, they are reduced to begging, selling themselves, starving, homeless, crime and worse. By caring for these powerless people, we are putting God’s teaching into practice. The Father honours it! God says, remain in his Love so that we are able to Love others as ourselves!

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

The 92nd day – What is faith?

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. — Hebrews 11:1

Interestingly, I was watching videos about ‘WHAT IS FAITH’ earlier before I was aware that this is the topic of today’s 100 verse bible.

What is Faith?
Bible teaches us ‘Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.’ The great evangelist Billy Graham interprets it as: Faith is believing and receiving what God has revealed (in bible, in nature, in conscience …) and it can be defined as Trust in God of the scriptures and in Jesus Christ whom he has sent. Also he emphasises that Faith without work is dead.

Faith is not only about being confident in God and his words but also about a total dependence on Christ for our forgiveness and our fulfilment in our life.

Why Faith is so important?
Hebrew 11:6 tells us WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD. In Romans 5 says: Through Faithwe receive peace and grace of God. Faith is the only path that not only allows us to “see” God, but also to draw near to His presence and fellowship with our heavenly Father…

Could I share with you this incredible video: “Three things we can not do without” by Billy Graham. This is the second part of it (about Faith). However I would definitely encourage you to watch all four parts if you can. He is amazing! God bless you!

The 91st day – The full armour of God

Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. — Ephesians 6:11

In today’s verse, Paul has revealed two important things. First of all, we have a battle to fight that is not against the physical powers but spiritual forces of evil.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.   — Ephesians 6:12

Secondly, we are not fighting the battle on our own but God has given us the mighty power of the Holy Spirit and  equipped us with spiritual armours.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. — Ephesians 6:13-17

What are the items of spiritual armour according to above verses?

1. The breastplate of Righteousness
2. The belt of truth
3. The Shoes of Gospel
4. The helmet of salvation
5. The shield of faith
6. The sword of the Spirit.

With these resources we become part of the Father’s army alongside Jesus. We will overcome the world of evil with the power of love!

The 90th day – You are God’s Masterpiece!

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

— Ephesians 2:10

Do you ever wish you could be a bit prettier, smarter, smaller, taller, stronger, slimmer … I often wish my teeth could be nicer so I can have a better smile, and I would like to be a touch smaller, and have bigger eyes, and so on … sad I know …  I guess most of us, no matter how wonderful we might be, we still can not stop criticizing ourselves… why?

In today’s verse, Paul teaches us that we are God’s workmanship and are created to do his good works. On this subject, I would like to share with you Joel Osteen’s video ‘ you are God’s masterpiece.’ I hope you will be benefited from his teaching as I have been.

Instead of criticizing ourselves, we should celebrate who God made us to be.  We are all God’s masterpiece!

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. — Psalm 139:14

The 89th day – Something I know for sure now…

In love, he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. — Ephesians 1:5

I love today’s verse, it is powerful and marvellous. It somehow reminds me of my childhood dreams.  When I was little, I had many dreams. For example, I dreamt to be a successful woman who have my own brand and company, I also dreamt to be a wonderful teacher for thousands of poor students, and more, I dreamt to be an eagle flying high and freely in the sky… I don’t know what I will become when I grow up, but I never stop wondering about it.

Having read Ephesians 1:5, I know something FOR SURE, that is: I AM PREDESTINED TO BE GOD’S DAUGHTER, A PRINCESS IN HIS KINGDOM. God planned this adoption in LOVE with PLEASURE and JOY before I was even born JUST THE WAY I AM. So are you! It is breathtaking when I think about this fact. What an amazing father God is!

How I feel now just as the great evangelist Billy Graham has once described “I DON’T KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS, BUT I KNOW WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE!

Just want to share with you a beautiful song by Brian Doerksen called: “Just as I am”

God loves who you are not what you are!

The 88th day – A Father’s Love

“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” — 2 Corinthians 6:18

Looking at today’s verse, I don’t how much this promise means to you, but I know how deeply it means to me – a girl who hardly experienced a father’s love.

We all have earthly parents, I believe our parents’ love for us is always there and true though they may not be perfect. Today, I would like to show you two videos, one is about our earthly parents’ love, the other is about the heavenly father’s love for us. Both of them are amazing. Compare and find the differences, and you will know how perfect is the love our father in heaven have for us.

The earthly parents’ Love:

The heavenly father’s love:

God longs to be a perfect father for us, he wants an affectionate relationship with us. God loves us!

The 87th day – What is Love?

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. — 1 Corinthians 13 :1

Today we are on one of the most famous chapters in the entire bible – 1 Corinthians 13.  These fine verses are often read at weddings. They define what true love is! Amazing and powerful words, please read it with me here:

I think there is nothing more I can add on or explain about today’s verse, it speaks for itself. One of my favourite quote is this: “LOVE IS NOT LOVE UNTIL IT COSTS YOU SOMETHING TO GIVE IT AWAY!”  Jesus demonstrates that true well, doesn’t he? For he loves us so much that it costs his life to give it to us! Through his love, we are saved from eternal sufferings and restored to be sons of God. How marvellous! Indeed, love never fails!

The 86th day – Nothing can separate you from his Love

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 8: 38-39

As Mark Stibbe states, Roman chapter 8 is one of the greatest chapters of the bible. I totally agree! These verses in Romans 8 contain one of the most comforting promises in all Scripture. Please read these powerful words for yourself, and here is a short video about Romans 8:16- 39

Nothing can separate usfrom the LOVE OF GOD!

Neither Death Nor Life
Two things we fear the most – dying and living, they are not threats to our eternal life. Whether we live or die, we are in His love.

Nor Things Present Nor Things to Come
Nothing in all of time, present or future, can separate us from God’s love. Jesus accepts us as who we are and will never let go of us. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He loves us and will never stop loving us.

Nor Height Nor Depth
Imagine this if we were to travel to the “highest” or “lowest” points in the universe, or anywhere in between, we would never arrive at a place where we could escape Christ’s love. There is nowhere we can go where anyone or anything can take our eternal salvation away from us. NO WHERE.

The 85th day – The whole creation waits for God…

The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.— Romans 8:19

During the time between the first coming of Jesus and his second  coming (the last day), Paul teaches that the whole creation is eagerly longing for Jesus’ return, groaning like a woman in labour pains. Phillips translates this, “The whole creation is standing on tiptoe, eagerly awaiting the revelation of the sons of God.” Could you picture it? The world is craning the neck, looking on with a visible sense of anticipation that something is about to happen. It is eagerly awaiting this remarkable event (the sons of God to be revealed), toward which the world is hastening, and has been hastening, since the beginning of time. Amazing!

19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

That day, we will hear Jesus say, “Behold, I make all things NEW!”

The 84th day – We are God’s children.

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. — Romans 8:16

Since we have covered this verse yesterday, I’m just going to emphasise this point ( we are children of God) by showing you a lovely video and the actual words from God himself.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. — 1 John 3:1

And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. — Romans 9:26

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:26

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. — Romans 8:14

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. — Luke 18:16

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. —  Matthew 18:3

God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. — Psalm 53:2

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? — Hebrews 12:7

Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.– Romans 8:21

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. — 1 John 2:28

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. — John 14:6

Remember that you are a child of God and you are dearly loved!

The 83rd day – Abba, Father, Daddy!

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. — Romans 8:15 (KJV)

Paul is writing to Romans about their relationship with the heavenly father. He uses ‘adoption’ or ‘sonship’ to describe the believer’s new relationship with God. Not just to Romans but to us all, Paul makes the point that we are God’s children – heirs of God, through the salvation that has brought by Jesus Christ.

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

We are no longer cringing and fearful slaves, instead, we are the Master’s children. What a privilege! Because we are God’s sons and daughters, we share in great treasures as coheirs. God has already given us his best gifts: His son Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit, through that we receive forgiveness and eternal life. Now he is encouraging us to ask for whatever we need in his name.

You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. — John 14:14

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. — Matthew 7:7

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. — Matthew 21:22

What a wonderful daddy he is!

The 82nd day – For I am not ashamed of the gospel…

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. — Romans 1:16

Quite often, I am wondering how would my friends on facebook think about me for my blog posts (about the love of God) have gone into their news feed everyday. Would they dislike me or annoyed about the posts? Will they be friends with me any more because of my believe? Honestly, these thoughts bother me for I treasure all my friends.

However, I am not ashamed of what have been writing about – the gospel, because it IS the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. Even though there might be just one person receives this good news at the end, this blog is still worth writing for. I believe what paul has written in the book of Romans:For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”’

The power of the Gospel brings love and hope, it can totally transform lives, from distress to peace, from lost to found, from inadequate to abundant, from fear to love, from death to life … it is all because of THE POWER OF LOVE!

So, I want you to know … God loves you dearly!

I am not ashamed of the gospel

The 81st day – The salvation is for all..

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. — Acts 10:44

A few days ago, we came across the story in Acts 2 where the holy spirit came upon the disciples when they were praying together. Today’s verse is also about the coming of the Holy spirit, and let’s have a look at the significance of it.

I believe the moment you finished today’s verse, your head  is filled with the following three questions:  What words was Peter speaking? Who were the people that heard the message? What was the message? Having these questions in mind, please watch the video below to find out what has happened.

Cool, have you got all the answers? These words are:

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right … All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”  (Act 10:34)

Who were the people that heard the message?

Peter was in a place near Joppa, so the people he was preaching to is non-Jewish people who are called Gentiles (e.g. You and me are Gentiles).

What is the message?

The message is the good news concerning Jesus who is the Lord of all.

So how can we see the significance of today’s verse by answering these three questions? I will say that it was the moment when the salvation started to come to all the nations of this planet. Before that, the Lord is the God of Israel. Only the Israelites had the knowledge about the true God, and only they could have a relationship with the Lord. Even Jesus didn’t went out of the region of Israel and preach the word of God.

But at that moment, the time has come. God chose the people of Israel to bring salvation to the whole world. God revealed himself first to the Jews, and to the Gentiles. He poured out his spirit first to the Jew, then to the Gentiles. He shows no favouritism regarding different nations because we are all his Children. The Holy Spirit came upon every one who heard the message. God is not just the God of Israel, he is always the God of all nations.

God is love.
