The 97th day – How great is the LOVE

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  — 1 John 3:1

The most important thing I have learned from writing this blog is that I got to know truly about WHAT I AM – The Child of God, who is fearfully and wonderfully made, dearly loved by my heavenly father. I have started to call God, Daddy or Papa. My relationship with the heavenly Father is getting closer and closer which enables me to feel the true happiness and fulfilment. Never being happier.

In today’s verse John has pointed out that the same truth: The Father has lavished his love upon us. What kind of love is this? God adopted us as his children through sacrificing his own son Jesus. But the world does not recognise  his sons and daughters by adoption because the world didn’t recognise his Son, Jesus. Nevertheless, how wonderful it is be to loved by God, the world’s greatest Father!

The 82nd day – For I am not ashamed of the gospel…

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. — Romans 1:16

Quite often, I am wondering how would my friends on facebook think about me for my blog posts (about the love of God) have gone into their news feed everyday. Would they dislike me or annoyed about the posts? Will they be friends with me any more because of my believe? Honestly, these thoughts bother me for I treasure all my friends.

However, I am not ashamed of what have been writing about – the gospel, because it IS the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. Even though there might be just one person receives this good news at the end, this blog is still worth writing for. I believe what paul has written in the book of Romans:For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”’

The power of the Gospel brings love and hope, it can totally transform lives, from distress to peace, from lost to found, from inadequate to abundant, from fear to love, from death to life … it is all because of THE POWER OF LOVE!

So, I want you to know … God loves you dearly!

My new project – One verse a day on the wall

A new project I have started – one verse a day on the wall. For me, this is so lovely and encouraging each day.

I have handpicked  some of my favourite bible verses from this 100versebible blog and put them on my bedroom wall. It looks cool and reminds me the promises of God every day. Love it!

Try it yourself.

The 67th day – An abundant life for you!

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. — John 10:10 (NKJV)

The night before, I was left alone in my house. I have to admit it was a pretty big house for one person and I was a bit scared. (You know… I’m a girl/woman). Then the worst happened, it was about 3:45am deep in the night that the burglar alarm outside my window went off. At first, I thought I was dreaming, but I discovered the noise was too loud to be imaginary. “What should I do?! I don’t know the code to unset the alarm… What if there were burglars breaking in the house? What should I do?!…” I was really frightened for a short while… but … no worries … in the end everything was all right.

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

In today’s verse, Jesus talks about “ The thief comes only to steal and to kill, and to destroy.” I can totally understand how horrible it feels now, after my experience of the burglar alarm night.  Here, the thief represents the devil, who steals everything that gives a person life and we are left with: poverty, disaster, slavery, violence, disease, despair, death …

However, Jesus says that he has come that we may have life. These words are the greatest comfort when you are lost and in despair, when you are frightened and hopeless. Just as the movie scene: the super hero jumps up and confronts the bad guy when you are in trouble. Moreover, Jesus announces that he is not only going to give us life, but also life to the full. It is an abundant life that satisfies the deepest needs of the human soul, a life that no worldly, material comforts can deliver. How marvellous is that! The one thing that he requires us to do is to accept it through believing. God loves you!

The new beginning

I’m so sorry for the long wait, I should have started this a little bit earlier. There are so many things have happened during this month when I was away. Lot of things have changed in my life, which has brought me many new challenges.

1) I have successfully achieved my english exam target – IELTS 7.5/9,  though my written english is still not quite there yet, please forgive me, I’m working on it.

2) My brother was saved during this time I was home. Family salvation is something I have been praying for earnestly all this time. Praise God for He opens doors miraculously.

3) A new change in my job situation, it forces me to set up something I’ve always wanted to do, it is hard but I’m totally devoted myself to this process, thanks God for this opportunity!

I can’t wait to start a new journey with God. Because he has been absolute amazing in my life. His love and promises are true everyday!

Important Notice!

For many of you who are reading this blog everyday, I’m ever so grateful of you walking the journey with me, thank you for your support! We have successfully accomplished the OLD TESTAMENT! Hurray!

Just to let you know, I will be away for about a month (July to early August), and for lots of the time, I may not have internet access. Therefore, THE FATHER’S BLOG IS HAVING A LOVELY BREAK DURING THIS PERIOD.

Hope you would agree that the 50th day is the perfect break, because it is the ending of the Old testament, also when I come back we can all start afresh with the wonderful beginning of the New Testament. Hmmmm, I will also try to post things that is interesting whenever I can.

Hope to see you soon!

With Love

The 31st Day – He will hear and forgive our sin

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.                                         ———2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

In chapter 6, Solomon asked God to make provision for the people when the Israelites have sinned. God answered his request with 4 conditions:

1) Humble yourself by admitting your sins
2) Pray to God, asking for forgiveness.
3) Seek God continually
4) Turn from sinful behaviour

True repentance is more than talk – it is changed behaviour. Whether we sin individually, as a group, or as a nation, following these steps will lead to complete forgiveness. God will answer our earnest prayers, just as God has answered Israel’s prayer thousands of years ago. Still, God is gracious and faithful.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

For me, God has been so amazing and gracious in my life. Just the same as many others, I was once vulnerable and broken, also my heart was filled with orphan spirit (homeless and insecure). I have done things so wrong that I wouldn’t even bear to look back any more. However, GOD FORGIVES ME WHEN I WAS STILL A SINNER AND HEALED MY BROKEN HEART, HE PURIFIED ME AND RESTORED MY SOUL, moreover, He provided me with both physical and spiritual home, He is the greatest father who I have ever met in my life. This relationship with him – God the father, has been so precious to me, I felt so loved and blessed everyday of my life.

Do you want to start a relationship with God, just as what I have done? Do the 4 steps above, and God will hear you and answer your prayers!

God bless you!

  Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
—- Psalm 34:8
