The 100th day – Is heaven for real?

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. — Revelation 21:4

This will be the most joyful and glorious of days – The coming of the new heavens and new earth! The city of God will descent from heaven, God himself will dwell with us together, he will look into our eyes overflowing with compassion and liquid love. This is a city where there will be no more suffering, no more mourning, no more pain and no more death. All our tears will be wiped away and orphan hearts healed. In his glaze, all the painful memories will be replaced with joy and love… What a wonderful moment!

The 99th day – The day of Judgment

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. — Revelation 20:12 (KJV)

Do you believe life after death? Do you believe the day of judgement? Do you believe God is fair? Do you believe one day you will be in heaven with Jesus?

There are four final facts await the world at the Last Day:
1) The return of Jesus Christ.
2) The resurrection of the dead.
3) The last judgement.
4) The creation of the new heavens and earth

In revelation 20, it reveals to us Satan is now completely defeated and thrown into the lake of fire to be destroyed. Now, In front of God, the last judgement starts. All are judged, no matter great or small. There are two books before God, one is the book of deeds, the other is the book of life.

The book of life contains the names of those who have put their trust in Christ to save them. The books of deeds includes the recorded deeds of everyone, good or evil. Everyone’s life will be reviewed and evaluated. NO ONE IS SAVED BY DEEDS, BUT THROUGH FAITH. However, deeds are seen as clear evidence of a person’s actual relationship with God.

Doesn’t this remind us how we should live our life and chose our destinies today?  Step our in faith, you the children of God!

The 59th day – Restless soul

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ” — Matthew 11:28

Recently I haven’t slept well, especially these two days.  It seems there are lots of things going on in my mind that gives me no rest. Even though when I close my eyes, the things are like a movie, loops and loops in my head. I don’t know how to stop it, sometimes, I just pray that God will give me rest.

Today, in Matthew 11:28, Jesus’ words are speaking into my heart. They like the light in the darkness, hope in the hopeless. His words comfort me:

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

You must wonder, who is this Jesus, how can he has the power to give you complete rest? How can he be so sure that his yoke is easy  and his burden is light?  the bible reveals the answer in Matthew11:27

27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

Jesus teaches that he has received all things from the Heavenly Father.  He reveals the father to us! Once we have a had an intimate, direct revelation of the Father’s love, all striving becomes easy and the burden becomes light. From Mark Stibbe’s own words: “Instead of resting from work, we work from rest!”

May God give you rest in times of restless just as he has given me!
