The 74th day – Not my will but yours be done.
“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” — Mark 14:36
Today, we are going to the garden of Gethsemane with Jesus and his disciples (Peter, James and John). The Garden of Gethsemane is the place where Jesus spent the last hours of his life, in fear of what suffering was to come. He was deeply distressed and troubled, his soul was overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death (Mark 16:33-34). However, he has submitted himself totally to the Father’s will: ”yet not my will but yours be done!” He has conquered the battle over satan once more and died for our sin.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. — Isaiah 53:5

Jesus loves us and He lay down his life in order to save us from eternal punishment (hell), so we might have life and have it more abundantly. Thanks Father for your Love!
