The 41st day – To my heavenly father – Happy Daddy’s Day!
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
— Zephaniah 3:17
Zephaniah is the most well-known Biblical figure, he the son of Cushi, and great-grandson of Hezekiah, ninth in the literary order of the ‘minor prophets’. He prophesied in the days of Josiah, king of Judah (B.C. 641-610), and was contemporary with Jeremiah, with whom he had much in common. Zephaniah is the only one of the few prophets whose chronology is fixed by a precise date in the introductory verse of the book
The Book of Zephaniah contains only three chapters long but the overriding theme is one of impending judgement – Chapter 1: Judgement for Judah and Jerusalem for their sins. Chapter 2: Judgement for the nations of the world. Chapter 3:1-8 The Prophet focuses once again on Jerusalem: The severest reckoning will be required of the leading classes of the civil community, and of the Prophets and priests as the directors of public worship. 3:9-20. With a prophetic glance at the Kingdom of God of the future, in which all the world unites and turns to God, the prosperity of the Messianic Kingdom will be enjoyed.
‘On the day of the coming of God’s kingdom, God’s presence will be felt and his delight over Jerusalem will be known. He will refresh his people with his love and will spin around and sing for joy over them, like a deliriously happy Father.’ — Mark Stibbe
This seems like the happiest moment that I can ever imaging. The lord, my heavenly father will be with me, he is mighty to save, he is happy with me, and delights in what I do. He silence me with his abundant love, we will sing for joy as we are spinning and dancing together. Could you imaging any better relationship with the Father?
Since it is the Father’s Day, I have a Father’s love letter for you, must watch!
