The 40th day – The little town of Bethlehem

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” — Micah 5:2

Today we are on the book of Micah, The author of the book is “Micah of Moresheth” (1:1). The word “micah” means “Who is like Yahweh?” Micah is a prophet lives in Judah during the reign of King Hezekiah. He lived at a time of Instability in his region.

Micah prophesies the birthplace of Jesus, the Messiah

Micah 5:2 is a prophecy about ‘A Promised Ruler From Bethlehem.’ it is one of the clearest indicators given in the Hebrew Scriptures for identifying the Messiah, a prophecy which both pinpoints the exact birth location of the Messiah, as well as telling us much about the charactre and power of this Anointed One. In Matthew 2:1-6  we see this prophecy fulfilled in the birth of Jesus.

What amazed me the most is, this tiny little details in the Christmas Nativity scene MATTERS ENOUGH TO GOD FOR HIM TO DELIVER HIS PROMISES. It is in the little town of bethlehem not Roman or any other big cities that Jesus was born. It says to me that God takes care of DETAILS. There is no details in our life so small that God doesn’t care. Also there is nothing so big in our life that God can not handle.

Give your worries, problems, concerns or anything you can not handle to God today, because He cares!
