The 38th day – We are the reason that He suffered.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. — Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)

Today’s chapter (Isaiah 53) is the most important of all Isaiah’s prophecies for Christians. It tells the story of a Suffering Servant of God, whose mission was to help men and women discover a loving and satisfying relationship with their Creator, the heavenly Father!

As I was doing my research on today’s verse, I came across a website that is totally devoted to this single chapter – Isaiah 53. Moreover, you can even get an amazing book for Free that explains this life changing chapter here: http://www.isaiah53.com.

Let’s find out a bit more about this chapter in this innovative video below:

3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain
   and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
   stricken by him, and afflicted.

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
   he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

                                     — Isaiah 53 :3-5

And it gets better, here is a testimony:

“This is Our God” album Artist, Michael Gugliemucci, who has battled his own health crisis against cancer for two years, walked confidently on stage, with his oxygen tank in hand, declaring the promise of God from Isaiah 53, and boldly singing the words to his song ‘Healer’.

“On the Cross, Jesus took our punishment, he made the supreme sacrifice, so that we might be reconciled to our Father in heaven. Jesus suffered terribly to redeem us all from our sins. ” — Mark Stibbe
