The 18th day – Be Strong and Courageous.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. — Joshua 1:9

Today, we are on the 6th book of the bible – Joshua, after Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. And today’s verse is one of my favourites.

Moses died before he made it to the Promised Land. Before that he has anointed Joshua and Joshua had been filled with God’s spirit of wisdom. Therefore the people listen to him and appointed him to be their leader.

In Joshua Chapter 1 The Lord tells Joshua to enter and conquer Canaan, the Promised land, a land flowing with
milk and honey. The Lord encourages Joshua to BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS AND NOT TO FEAR though there will be lots of battles and trials ahead of them. Joshua takes heart and leads tribes of Israel into the Promised Land!

Knowing God is with us in every situations (battles and trials or ups and downs), I’m encouraged and grateful. God says ‘We can do all things through he who strengthens us.’ I believe so deep down in my heart: We are more than a conqueror.

If you are facing difficulties or tough situations today, do not be discouraged or dismayed, for the Lord our father is with us wherever we go, he has promised us all the good things we need to help us overcome, so be strong and courageous!

Let’s have a look at this video:

The joy of the Lord is our strength!

God bless you!
